Additional Detail for Comm Lite
A user who is deaf and blind types their telephone messages into their notetaker. The Comm Lite then translates the Braille message and sends it to the person who is using a standard TTY/TDD device. The person receiving the message sees it in printed form on the LCD display of their TTY/TDD. When responding, Comm Lite translates the TTY/TDD language back into Braille that can be read by the original sender’s notetaker Braille display.
- Two people owning both a notetaker and the Comm Lite system can communicate in the same manner.
- Includes a modem, cable and software that contains the necessary Macros to simplify setup.
- The Comm Lite works with the Braille Lite 2000, Braille Lite 40 and the Braille Lite 18. Comm Lite also works with the Type Lite and the Braille Lite M20 or M40 notetakers with the optional Turbo Mode feature.
- The Comm Lite works on a standard residential analog telephone line. Purchasers should contact their telephone company to confirm that they are connected to an analog system.
