Window-Eyes SMA
The acronym SMA stands for "Software Maintenance Agreement" and for Window-Eyes, purchasing an SMA provides a pre-payment of 3 major upgrades. A major upgrade is identified by incrementing the version number by a "tenth" or greater. In other words, going from version 4.0 to 4.1 is considered a major upgrade. Going from 4.1 to 4.11 is considered a minor upgrade. The owner of an SMA doesn't have to make any arrangements to receive an upgrade as it is sent automatically. When we announce an upcoming upgrade, we also announce the price for that upgrade. If a major upgrade is priced low and the SMA owner determines they wish to pay for it separately rather than spend an SMA count, they may do so but they must contact ULVA PRIOR to the release of that upgrade. The owner of a SMA may not skip an upgrade, they must either pay for it separately or us an SMA count. As you might expect, an Agency License SMA and Site License SMA is also available.
