JAWS 8.0 Public Beta for Windows Vista Released
On February 28, 2007 Freedom Scientific announced the release of the JAWS 8.0.1163 Public Beta for Windows Vista. This is the first release of JAWS that will run in public beta on Windows Vista.
To find out if you are eligible to authorize and run JAWS 8.0.1163 on Windows Vista, please visit www.fsactivate.com where you can obtain the most up to date details for your JAWS license. If your license information indicates that your release version allowed is 8.0V, 8.0 +1, or 8.0 +2 you are all set to install, authorize and run JAWS 8.0.1163 on Windows Vista. Otherwise, please call us at 800-369-0347 with your serial number information so that we can assist you in getting started with JAWS and Windows Vista.
Microsoft Windows Vista is currently available in 5 different versions:
- Windows Vista Ultimate
- Windows Vista Enterprise
- Windows Vista Business
- Windows Vista Home Premium
- Windows Vista Home Basic
JAWS Professional Supports all versions of Windows Vista while JAWS Standard only supports Vista Home Premium and Vista Home Basic.
JAWS 8.0.1163 will also run on Windows 2000 and XP and is a free update for all JAWS 8.0 users. You can easily obtain this update by using the Automatic Update feature available from the JAWS 8.0 help menu.
